Following a solid summer league performance, the Lakewood Rangers now head into August getting ready to embark on an off-ice strength and conditioning program to prepare for the upcoming season. “The incoming players really meshed well with our returning skaters”, remarked Head Coach Mark Ferfolia. " It was great to see the team come together so well through the practices and games. The effort was great and it was easy to see the improvement from the first game to the last". The team also performed for the first time under newly named captains Rob Holden, Will Holden and Alex Blinky. The trio was selected due to their hard work and excellent leadership qualities. "The three players have shown outstanding leadership skills both on and off the ice ", continued Coach Ferfolia. "I really believe they are poised to lead the team to a great season. The Rangers, who are coming off of their third Baron Cup qualifying performance in the last three years, will once again be competing in the Blue North division of the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League.
